Intermediate or Senior Engineer – Mine Water Treatment and Management
Job Description
Location: Position based in one of our offices (Rouyn-Noranda, Val-d’Or, Piedmont, Montréal, Gatineau, Québec City, Fermont, Calgary, or Vancouver) with remote work flexibility. Occasional travel to mining sites is required.
Employment Type: Full-time, hybrid (office/remote) position with the possibility of rotational schedules (14 days on / 14 days off).
Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time Intermediate or Senior Engineer to play a key role in the growth and development of our company. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work on diverse and complex projects within a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage projects related to mine water treatment and management
-
Prepare engineering deliverables at the conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design stages
-
Design and execute R&D projects in partnership with mining companies
-
Analyze operational data and provide technical recommendations
-
Identify client needs, prepare proposals, and support business development initiatives
-
Supervise and mentor junior team members
Qualifications and Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Chemical, Environmental, Water Resources, or Biotechnological Engineering (or equivalent experience)
-
5+ years of experience in the mining industry related to mine water management or treatment
-
Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (or another provincial/territorial engineering association)
-
Bilingual (French and English)

Expertise in mine water treatment processes including:
-
coagulation and flocculation
-
pH control
-
filtration
-
fluidized bed bioreactors
-
sulfide and hydroxide precipitation
-
reverse osmosis (RO) membrane systems
-
ozone treatment
-
cyanide destruction
-
-
Strong knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices
-
Additional knowledge in civil, mechanical, electrical, and automation engineering related to plant design, fabrication, and operation

Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)
-
Strong autonomy, adaptability, and teamwork skills
-
Valid Class 5 driver’s license
